Deleting your data

There are two ways to reach this page, so this covers both: businesses that use SetterMirror, and people who messaged a business that uses it.

If you use SetterMirror for your business

To delete conversation data: sign in and go to Settings → Data. “Delete all conversation data” permanently removes every stored conversation, message and prospect record for your workspace. This cannot be undone.

To stop any further data being collected: go to Settings → Channels and disconnect your Instagram account. You can also remove SetterMirror from your Facebook business integrations, which revokes our access immediately.

To delete your entire account, including business details, your saved writing examples and login records, email harryross.0111@gmail.com from the address on the account. We will confirm and delete within 30 days.

If you messaged a business that uses SetterMirror

Your messages belong to the conversation you had with that business, and we hold them on that business’s behalf. We store your Instagram ID, username, display name, profile picture URL and the messages exchanged.

The quickest route is to ask the business directly — they can delete every conversation from their side at any time. If you would rather come to us, email harryross.0111@gmail.com with the Instagram handle you messaged from and the business you contacted. We will locate the records, delete them, and confirm within 30 days.

We may need to confirm you control the account in question before deleting, so that someone cannot erase another person’s conversation.

What happens to backups

Deleted records are removed from the live database immediately. Encrypted database backups are retained on a rolling basis by our hosting provider and age out within 30 days, after which no copy remains.

What we keep

We retain a minimal audit record that a deletion took place — the date and the request type, with no message content — because we need to be able to show that requests were honoured.
